If you wish to make your second home profitable, you can leave it to us, and we will take care of everything for you : we advertise the property on our website www.leslocationsdelamediterranée.com, we draw up the renting contract, we take care of the entry and exit inventories. We manage the security deposit, from the entry to the refund- including if necessary all the repairs, after having obtained your agreement.
We then deal with getting the quotes and showing them to you.
We also establish contact between landlords and tenants, and in this case we are in charge of trading the property, drawing up the contract and cashing the deposit and monthly rents.
We can also take care of selling your property with a single or exclusive mandate, and advise you on how to redecorate your property in order to rent it more easily.

What type of properties do you offer for renting ?
We offer properties from studios to luxurious villas, including atypical or luxury apartments between Marseille, the Côte Bleue, with the calanques of Ensuès-La-Redonne, la Vesse, Carry-Le-Rouet, Sausset-Les-Pins, Carry, Cassis, La Ciotat, La Seyne-sur-Mer, Sanary-sur-Mer, Six-Fours-Les-Plages, Bandol, Toulon and Hyères.
We also offer docking boats to spend a holiday in an original setting, on the Vieux-Port for example.
If we can't answer your expectations regarding the property you wish to rent, we can prospect in the local estate agencies we work with in close cooperation.
All our properties are carefully selected, clean and answer all comfort standards.
Who meets us upon arrival ?
You will be welcomed by an agent from Les Locations de la Mediterranée who will give you a tour of the property, answer all your queries and hand you over the keys once you have settled the total renting price and given the security deposit.
If the landlord and the tenant have been put into contact, the landlord is in charge of welcoming the tenant.
How should I behave during my stay ? What does "return the property in its original state mean ?
The properties we offer are for a private use, in the frame of a touristic or business trip. It is strictly forbidden to divert them to commercial, professional or craft ends.
The same applies to the organization of events such as weddings, seminars, etc which require prior approval from both Les Locations de la Mediterranée and the landlord.
During your stay, you must behave like a diligent administrator, meaning you must respect both the property and the neighborhood. Any nuisance for noise or unappropriate behavior can lead to a cancellation of the booking.
You must return the property in the same state as you found it, tidy and clean, with smoothly running facilities.
All lost or deteriorated objects must be replaced or refunded. All deteriorations must be repaired, either by yourself or a professional.
Renting properties are cleaned prior to arrival and you must return them in a similar condition on departure.
Furthermore, you must respect the condominium regulations. If necessary, those will be given to you at check-in time.
Are the renting properties equipped with Internet access ?
Whenever possible, our properties are equipped with Internet access, via Wi-Fi and you will be given the codes on entry.
However, we cannot be held responsible in case of missing connection, for this is submitted to the landlord's goodwill, nor in the case of a network dysfunction which would be the operator's responsibility.

Are the renting properties equipped with landlines ?
As for the Internet, the presence of a landline in the property is submitted to the landlord's goodwill, and as such, we cannot be held responsible in case of absence or dysfunction.

If the property you rented is equipped with a landline, all the costs are your responsibility if the numbers you called are not included in the operator's freephone numbers.
How do I make a complaint about the renting properties ?
After entering the property you are entitled to a 24-hour period to make a complaint to the estate agent who welcomed you.
First you need to do this informally on the phone, and then you must send a registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt to : Les Locations de La Mediterranée, 4 rue du Coteau, 13007 Marseille.
All the documents supporting the complaint must be enclosed in the mail.
It should be noted that we cannot be held responsible for the malfunctions of electricity, gas, water supply, Internet and phone services.
In case of a disaster, we must be warned as soon as possible, in order to be able to act accordingly in agreement with the landlord. If the disaster is so important that it requires your departure from the property, you will be relocated in a similar property, providing that such a property is available at that period. If that was not the case, you would get a refund for the over-collected amounts within the month following your departure.
If there was a problem during my stay, how should I inform you ?
You must phone as soon as possible to the agent who welcomed you, then confirm the problem in writing to Les Locations de la Mediterranée, 4 rue du Coteau, 13007 Marseille.
Our agent will then keep you posted about the formalities required to solve the problem.
Do the renting properties have a parking space ?
Due to their location, all our properties are not equipped with parking spaces. You can check for this information in the detailed ad of the property on our website www.leslocationsdelamediterranée.com. However, we can provide you with information about available parking spaces, including public ones, near the rented property.
Can I smoke in the renting properties ?
It is strictly forbidden to smoke in all the renting properties. If you were to violate this ban, and if a smell of tobacco was detected during the check-out inventory, you would be charged for the necessary expenses to suppress the smell and for all dry-cleaning expenses incurred.
Is there a maximum capacity in the renting properties ?
All our renting properties are meant to welcome a limited number of people, specified in the ad on our website www.leslocationsdelamediterranée.com.
So, you can come with as many people as you want, as far as this doesn't exceed the maximum capacity, without paying any additional fee.
If the maximum capacity is exceeded, we reserve the right to cancel the booking without any damages or compensation. We can however, offer you another renting property suitable for the number of people to accommodate, providing such a property is available at the period.
Can I cook in the renting properties ?
The renting properties we offer are living spaces, and as such, you are perfectly entitled to cook in them, providing you return the property in the same condition as it was rented to you.
How can I make a booking on your website ?
You will find on our website www.leslocationsdelamediterranée.com, all the properties we offer for renting between Marseille and Hyères. Once you have selected the one which suits you best, you can book online by paying only a 25% deposit.
After having checked and validated the booking calendar with the landlord, we will send you a confirmation by email, within 48 hours following your booking, with a detailed invoice including your payment, the outstanding balance and the amount of the security deposit payable on entry into the property.
However, if you pay the deposit by postal money order or by cheque, the booking will be considered effective only on reception of the balance. Upon reception of the balance, we will send you a renting contract which you will have to sign and send back to : Les Locations de La Mediterranée, 4 rue du Coteau, 13007 Marseille.
When can I assume that my booking is confirmed ?
We consider that a booking is confirmed when the 25% deposit is paid, the booking calendar checked and validated and a confirmation by email has been sent, 48 hours at the latest after your online booking on our website www.leslocationsdelamediterranée.com.
When can I get the keys of the renting property ?
The keys are handed over to you once the entry inventory has been performed, and the security deposit settled. The balance of the total renting price including payment for the selected options, will have been settled 20 days prior to arrival.
Do I have to be there for the entry and exit inventories ?
In accordance with the law, the entry and exit inventories must be contradictory, which means that they must be carried out in your presence and signed both by yourself and by the agent who welcomes you on arrival (or the landlord if we established a connection with the tenant).
What is the minimum number of overnights required to rent a property ?
The minimum length of stay is 2 nights and the stay cannot exceed 90 days.(only Seasonal Renting)
Are there any specific administration fees according to the length of stay ?
In the case of a stay with a full amount of overnights lower than €250, an additional charge for administration fees is invoiced, in order to ensure the smooth conduct of arrival and departure formalities, and to offer less expensive short-term rentals than our main competitors :

Overnight rates in euros :
-between €0 and €174 : €40 administration fees
- between €175 and €199 : €35 administration fees
-between €200 and €229 : €25 administration fees
-between €230 and €250 : €15 administration fees
-over €250 : no administration fees.
What means of payment do you accept ?
All payments can be made :

-by credit card on our website, via a secure system linked to the LCL Marseille Catalan 5 Rue Capitaine Dessemond, 13007 Marseille. The booking will then be effective, providing the renting timetable has been updated by the owner.

-via Paypal- extra costs will be charged to the tenant, i.e 3.4%+ €0.25 per transaction.

-via postal money order, made payable to Les Locations de la Mediterranée, all costs being charged to the tenant.

- via bank transfer, on the bank account to the LCL Marseille Catalan 5 Rue Capitaine Dessemond, 13007 Marseille. If you choose this means of payment, we will provide you with the account details.

-by French bank cheque, labelled to Les Locations de la Mediterranée, 4 rue du Coteau, 13007 Marseille. We advise you to send your mail by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.

- By travelers cheque. We advise you to send your mail by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.

- by holiday vouchers. We advise you to send your mail by registered post with acknowledgement of receipt.
What is included in the total renting price ?
The total renting price includes the price for the number of overnights booked, plus the cost of the selected services and administration fees if appropriate.
If a tourist tax is charged, it will also be included.
If there is no tourist tax, as this is often the case when we establish a connection between a landlord and a tenant, it is indicated in the ad.
On the contrary, the amount of the security deposit is not included in the total renting price, but simply added to it, since we give it back to you on condition that the property has not been subjected to any degradation whatsoever.
When should I settle the total renting price including services
The total renting price must be settled 20 days prior to arrival at the latest, or else the keys won't be handed over to you. But you can also choose to settle it within the month prior to your arrival.
When should I pay the deposit for the rented property ?
You must pay the 25% deposit when you book the property.
When should I trust you with the security deposit ?
You must trust us with the security deposit when you enter the renting property, or else the keys won't be handed over to you.
When is the security deposit paid out ?
The security deposit will be paid out within 10 days after the exit inventory if we are absolutely certain that no degradation was made, and within 3 months if some repairs must be undertaken after your departure.
Is the security deposit always fully paid out ?
The security deposit is not always fully paid out. If we notice some degradations, we will have to do the repairs. If necessary we will send you by mail the invoices concerning any repairs or replacement of objects.
The costs incurred will be deducted from the security deposit, and administration fees of €35 will be invoiced.
The security deposit is paid out by cheque or by bank transfer. If the cost of the repairs exceeds the security deposit, you will have to pay for the difference.
Is payment by credit card secure on your website ?
Payment by credit card is actually secure on our website, via a system called 3D Secure which our bank, the LCL, uses to restrict internet fraud linked to identity theft.
Can I pay the balance for the renting by credit card on the spot ?
No, that is not currently possible as we don't have a POS terminal. On the spot, you will only be able to pay the balance by French bank cheque, travelers cheques or holiday vouchers.
Is the tourist tax included in the total renting price ?
The tourist tax payable, is included in our rates. If we put into contact a landlord and a tenant, this may not be the case, and that would be mentioned in the ad.
Does the reservation fee vary according to the number of people in the property ?
The reservation fee is attached to the rented property, and does not depend on the number of people staying in the property, as long as the maximum capacity is respected.

Will I get an invoice for the payment of the renting property ?
On reception of the deposit, we will send you a detailed invoice, mentioning the outstanding balance, the amount of the security deposit and the cost for the selected services.
What time can I arrive ?
You can arrive between 2pm and 8pm from Monday to Saturday. If you choose to arrive at a different time or on a different day, an additional charge will be invoiced :
If you arrive on a Sunday or Bank Holiday, or between 8pm and 11pm, an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced, and after 11pm an additional charge of €60 will be invoiced.
If you are late of more than 1 hour after the agreed arrival time, an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced.
If the renting property is available before 2pm you can enter before this time without any price supplement.
What time can I leave ?
You can leave the rented property on the day of departure between 8am and 10 am, 7/7, including on Sundays and Bank Holidays, in which case an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced.
If you wish to leave between 6am and 8am, an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced, and if you leave before 6am, an additional charge of €60 will be invoiced.
When should I let you know the time of my arrival ?
When you sign the contract, we ask you to let us know the time of your arrival, so that we can arrange an appointment with one of our agents to meet you on arrival.
We then ask you to confirm the time of the appointment one week prior to arrival.
What happens if I'm late for the handing over of the keys ?
If you are late of more than 1 hour on the agreed meeting time, an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced. You must warn us about any delay at least 3 hours in advance, except in cases of force majeure.
Beyond 24 hours without hearing from you, the booking will be suspended, or even cancelled in case of new clients, without any possibility for damages or compensation, nor any refund of the deposit.
What happens if I'm not on time for check-out ?
If you don't leave the rented property on time, and if this delay is deemed abusive due to the malfunction generated for the agency, an additional charge of €30 will be invoiced.
Can I change my booking ?
You can change your booking at any time. For example, if you wish to extend your stay, you just have to ask us. If this is possible, you will have to pay for the extra number of overnights. If you wish to shorten your stay, between the time of booking and before the signature of the contract, and on condition of warning us at least 60 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be recalculated and overcharged costs will be refunded.
If you wish to shorten your stay but warn us less than 60 days prior to arrival, the balance of vacant days will be refunded on condition that the property is re-rented for the period.
If that was not the case, you would have to pay the balance of the full amount of the stay under penalty of legal proceedings.
Can I extend my stay once in the property ?
If the renting property is available, you can at all times extend your stay by paying the extra cost.
How can I cancel my booking ?
-If you cancel your booking more than 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit is charged, unless you subscribed a cancellation insurance, in which case you will have to undertake all the proceedings with your insurance company. We won't require the payment of the renting price nor any extra administration fees.
-If you cancel your booking less than 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit is fully due. If you subscribed a cancellation insurance, you will have to undertake all the proceedings wilth your insurance company. If necessary, we will provide you will all the invoices.
If the property is not re-rented in the meantime, you will be asked to pay for the total renting price.
-If you interrupt your stay before the due date, no refund will be given, nor any compensation.
What services do you offer ?
Here are the services we offer as options :

-A set of bed linen for double bed including one fitted sheet, one flat sheet and two pillowcases : €12
This can be changed to the goodwill of the tenant against payment. The cleaning of the bed linen is not charged to the tenant.

- A set of bed linen for single bed including one fitted sheet, one flat sheet and one pillowcase: €10
This can be changed to the goodwill of the tenant against payment. The cleaning of the bed linen is not charged to the tenant.

-A set of bath linen including one bath towel and one hand towel : €8 per person.
A bathmat is provided with the set of bath linen, limited to one bathmat per renting.
This can be changed to the goodwill of the tenant against payment. The cleaning of the bath linen is not charged to the tenant.

-Grocery shopping on arrival :
For a fee of €30 on top of the groceries price.
The estate agent will contact the tenant to get to know what to buy. The grocery shopping only includes what is needed for dinner on the day of arrival and for breakfast the following morning.

-Lending of a baby's cot : €15

-Lending of a high chair or booster : €10

-Lending of a baby kit including a cot and a highchair or booster : €20.

-Day use : tenants can stay in the rented property until 7pm- providing it is not rented to someone else- for a fee of 20% of the overnight rate.

-Cleaning : this service isn't mandatory in the properties we offer for renting, but can be done by the tenant.
Is there a withdrawal period for the services you offer ?
Please note that you are entitled to a 7 clear-day withdrawal period from the moment we confirm the selected options. This period is valid if and only if the service has not already been provided before the end of the period. If the withdrawal period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday, it is extended to the following working day.
Can I book your services on the spot ?
You can book our services on the spot. In that case a supplement of €30 can be ask in order to cover the expenses incurred. The withdrawal period will then be effective if and only if the service has not been provided before the end of 7 clear days.
Is cleaning included in the renting price ?
The cleaning is chargeable to the tenant.
Can I contact you if I want the cleaning to be done during my stay ?
You can contact us to do the cleaning in the property at the end of the stay. The fees are as follows :
-up to 30m² : €25
- from 31m² to 40m² : €35
- from 41m² to 50m² : €45
- from 51m² to 70m² : €55
-from 71m² to 90m² : €75
- from 91m² to 100m² : €100
- from 101m² to 120m² : €115
- from 120m² : €135

To be defined on a case by case basis. These rates are given for information. They can vary according to the properties, their location, or the travel expenses incurred. Cleaning can be performed as often as the tenant requires, and the rate in this case is €25/hour.
Can I do the cleaning myself at the end of the stay ?
We would rather have a team of professional cleaners in order to guarantee the best welcome to the tenants but the cleaning can be done by the tenant. Everything is indicated in the ad on our website.

If I do the cleaning myself during the stay, are there any household products in the renting property ?
The owners of the property provide you with all the necessary cleaning equipment, including household products, floor cloth, etc.
Do you provide bed linen ?
We don't provide bed linen. Our renting properties are all equipped with pillows and blankets but you will have to bring the bed linens or select some from those we offer in our services.
Do you provide bath linens ?
We don't provide bath linens. You will have to bring them or select this option from our services.
Do you provide beach towels ?
We don't provide beach towels, so you will have to bring some with you.
Do I have to clean the bed and bath linens ?
No, cleaning of all the items included in our sets is not charged to the tenant.
Is there baby equipment (high chair, booster, cot?) in all the renting properties ?
There is no baby or children equipment in the renting properties, but we can provide it. See "our services" section of our website.
What do you call "day use" ?
What we call "day use" is the possibility to stay in the rented property until 7pm, provided that the property is not rented to someone else, for a fee of 20% of the overnight rate.
Are pets allowed in the renting properties ?
Pets are not allowed in the renting properties. We will charge extra fee of a minimum of €50 for cleaning if when performing the exit inventory, we can acknowledge the presence of pets in the property (hairs, etc).
What do you call "promotional offers" ?
Our promotional offers are discounts offered on certain renting properties for a given period. They can also be in the form of services offered when you book, to make your stay even more enjoyable. These services belong to a specific renting property and this is clearly mentioned in the "special offers" section of our website.
Can you advise me on where to park my car near the renting properties ?
When you arrive, our agent will be able to answer your queries and advise you about the nearest car park.
Can I ask for services you don't provide ?
You can ask us for services we don't provide. We will do our best to satisfy your needs, while keeping you posted about the extra costs incurred.
Can you advise me on the beaches, cultural and sports activities, excursions and good addresses in the area ?
We can advise you on the good addresses in the area, the most beautiful beaches near your rented property, walks, cultural events, windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing and diving spots.
